James M. Stauffer, 79, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Emmaus, PA he was a son of the late Ralph B. and Esther (Blough) Stauffer. He was married 54 years on June 27 to E. Sidney (Ammon) Stauffer.
James worked for the former SLC in Blue ball before working as a Costing Engineer many years, retiring in 2001, from Daskin in York. He later worked for Willow Valley Communities in the Dining Services until June 2018.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Laticia Stauffer married to Jon Goldberg of Philadelphia; a grandson, Thomas Goldberg; three brothers, Phillip of Narvon, Douglas of Dumfries, VA, and Jeffery of Conestoga; and two sisters Mary Clark of Virginia Beach, VA, and Beth Gehr of New Holland.
Preceding him in death are two sisters, Patsy Tshudy and Margaret “Peg” Weaver; and two brothers, R. Glenn Stauffer and Jesse Stauffer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 23 at 10 am at Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland with viewing from 9-10 am. Interment will be in the Sadsbury Friends Burial Ground.
